I have been blessed to follow some of my passions in sustainable energy and social equity, surrounded by the most amazing people here at GSS.

When I’m any kind of free from work I’m most easily found meandering in the woods or on the water along with my pup, Charlie. These days are the best days.

Solar is incredible; every day presents a new challenge to overcome. Throughout my career, nothing has ever been as satisfying as turning on a solar installation and seeing the meter run backward. The solar industry is always evolving with new products and I enjoy researching and keeping up with the newest products available. I enjoy spending time with my family and have always had a love for video games and building computers. I even won a few gaming competitions when i was younger.

Matthew Knight

VP of Business

I’ve been dedicated to providing solar solutions for over a decade, all while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I’m passionate about using technology to innovate and drive efficiency in business.

Outside of work, I love traveling the country by van with my family, where we can be found hiking or skiing in the mountains, enjoying a quiet beach day, or discovering new camping locations.

Analyst

I love working with good people who focus on producing quality work and creating the best possible experience for our customers. I started in solar in 2020 doing site survey and design work. I then worked on the install side for 3 years before moving into the analyst position, and have really enjoyed being able to use my experience from that time towards finding creative solutions for new projects.

My fiancé Liz and I moved up to MA from Long Island and adopted a dog named Arnold.

I'm a proud military spouse and mother of two wonderful kids. In my spare time, I enjoy walking and getting lost in a good book. Balancing family life and the unique challenges of military life keeps me grounded, and I cherish every moment spent with my loved ones.

Rebecca Craddock

Project Manager

Getting the chance to empower people to energy independence is a fulfilling daily opportunity. Helping people make that step is even easier here on a team that truly cares about our customers and the solar industry as a whole. If I wasn’t in the solar industry I’d be helping people as a ski guide because I love the mountains especially if I can slide down them! When I’m not helping people go solar you can find me on a hike with my dogs, playing tennis or a round of golf, or playing pool with friends.

Byron Johnson

Service Team Manager

Hi there! I’m the Service Team Manager at Great Sky Solar. I’m truly passionate about helping our clients troubleshoot their solar panel systems and getting them back to full production. Whether I’m coordinating with our amazing technicians or working with manufacturers to resolve service requests, I love being part of a team that’s dedicated to making a difference and constantly improving. One of the things I cherish most about working at Great Sky Solar is the sense of family we’ve built here. Everyone shares a common goal: not just to be another solar company, but to support clean energy and uphold honest business practices that put our clients—our neighbors—first. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me spending quality time with my family or getting lost in a good book. I’m excited to help you on your solar journey and ensure you get the most out of your system!

I'm simply happy to know each project we do works towards a benefit to everyone of our clients. I know Great Sky Solar considers each person's needs while advising practicality and flexibility to homeowner's systems.

Outside of work I couldn't ask for more if I started my morning in the cool New England air followed by some warm breakfast. Then driving out to friends and families during the day and wrapping up the day stretching my creative muscle working on art projects all the while vibing to music.

I have been installing Solar for Great Sky since 2021. Before that I was a lighting technician for movies and TV. I'm a fiddler, an ice cream maker, and I'm the guy who runs the Great Sky Dungeons and Dragons game on weekends. A fun fact about me, I am featured in a YouTube video with 4 million views.

I wake up striving to do the best job I can on any given day. I thrive in the summer time but still kick butt when it's cold out! I'm a bit of a grease monkey on the side an a family man runs deep in my roots.

I really like that all of my coworkers get along and work together fluidly as a team. That is a rare gem, and we definitely have that here at Great Sky Solar. I’m always trying to soak up new information and learn something new.

In my spare time, I like working on my car (Dodge Challenger!) and taking scenic road trips.

I like working with Great Sky because I enjoy installing products that are efficient, look great, and help people save money. I take pride in doing work that’s clean and built to last. I love working with people who take such pride in their work.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, going to concerts, and playing video games.

A former southerner now turned Northerner aspiring to live off the land. Daily adventures bring me all over New England to fix the broken and lighten the path. Survivalist at heart, electrician by trade, and always ready to learn new talents.

Former football and lacrosse player. I enjoy watching sports but mostly spend my time in the outdoors. I’m an avid sportsman who is always either fishing or hunting. I enjoy being in nature and the many beauties that come with it. I also love spending time with my dog Bruin, he’s the best.
